Coach Brandon

This is Coach Brandon Clay's fifth year coaching for the Breeze. He has been a part of the team since its beginning in 2001. He was a co-captain of the Brookwood High School swim team, contributing to two state titles. He also holds the school's 200 medley relay record. He swam for Swim Atlanta for nearly nine years. He became an Eagle Scout in October 2007. Coach Brandon attended Brigham Young University this past year. He also enjoys playing football, basketball, racquetball, volleyball, and snowboarding, among other hobbies. Coach Brandon aspires to serve a two-year Mormon mission starting this fall.

Coach Allyson

Coach Allyson Sweeney swam for Bright Water in 2009. She started swimming at age 6. She also swam for Swim Atlanta and Brookwood High School since moving from Austin, Texas in 2007. She currently holds the Georgia State record for the 400 free relay and the Brookwood records in the 200 and 400 free relays. After graduation, she went to swim for Texas A&M University. She helped the team win the Big 12 championships and place 6th at NCAA championships. She has three younger brothers and three younger sister, all who have swum for Bright Water at some point. Coach Allyson gained experience in coaching while living in Texas.

Coach Heather

This is Coach Heather Leach's first year with the Breeze, and she is excited to be with us! As a Brightwater resident, she swam at Swim Atlanta and at Brookwood High School. After graduation, she swam for the University of Maine and has recently graduated with a degree in Environmental Sciences. Coach Heather has helped teach swim lessons at Swim Atlanta and while she resided in Maine and has babysat for the past nine years.

Coach Cameron

This is Coach Cameron Clay's first year coaching. He has swum for Bright Water since its inaugural season in 2001. He is a student at Brookwood High School and swam for the high school swim team for the past two years. He has swum at Swim Atlanta for the past 6 years. He enjoys acting and hanging out with friends. He has two siblings: Ryan and the older (and better looking!) Coach Brandon.

Coach Nate

Coach Nate Kurth is beginning his first year as a Bright Water coach this year. He swam for the Breeze since 2001 and has contributed to the team at county every year.He is 16-years-old and attends Brookwood High School. He plays the trumpet and the guitar in school and church functions. He has played hockey since he was 8 and was a captain for one of his teams. He also plays lacrosse at Brookwood. Coach Nate is an active participant and leader in Boy Scout Troop 50.

Coach Ryan

This is also Coach Ryan Mura's first Bright Water season as a coach. He has also swam since the team's beginning in 2001. Before the Breeze, he swam for Eastside Athletics starting at age 5. Ryan swam for Swim Atlanta for 4 years. Ryan enjoys playing many other sports, including soccer. Coach Ryan attends Brookwood High School and will be a senior in the fall.
