Parking is limited and shown in green in the aerial photo. NO PARKING zones are illustrated in red. Please share rides as much as possible. All the meets at the Bright Water pool will have a large number of swimmers. Thank you for observing all NO PARKING signs. Park only in the pool parking lot and the lake side of Water Shine Way in front of the pool.
Check the aerial photograph for the location of team bullpens and visitor seating. Visitor seating is on the lake side of the pool (opposite the clubhouse). The visitor bullpen area is located on pool deck on the shallow end of the pool. The main pool entrance next to the clubhouse is not wheelchair accessible. Parking for wheelchair access is in front of the tennis courts. Wheelchair access is between the tennis courts and down the sidewalk to the pool.
The scoring and ribbon tables are located inside on the basement level of the clubhouse. Results will be posted on the scoring room window as they are verified. Only team officials and volunteers working the scoring and ribbon tables should be in the scoring room during the meet. Children are not allowed inside the scoring room. The first batch of ribbon labels is often printed at about 7:15 pm.
We strive to have scoring and ribbons complete 15 minutes after the last event.
If you have problems or concerns at a meet, you need to address them to your team Head Official or GCSL representative. Your team official will work for a resolution of the problem with the other team. Bright Water parents should contact Cathi Forscht, the Head Official (depending on meet), or Terilyn Clay, GCSL representative. This covers behavior of swimmers, calls by officials or the outcome of races. The rules for swimming each stroke are set out in the United States Swimming rules. Our league follows the start, finish, stroke and turn rules with the exception that we allow one false start before disqualifying someone for a false start. If a stroke judge disqualifies a swimmer for a stroke infraction, the judge will tell the swimmer what rule was broken. The swimmer should pay close attention so that it won't happen again in future races.
